下午好！
我很高兴出席今天旅游招商会！借此机会我谨代表广东省人民政府对来宾们朋友们表示热烈的欢迎！并对长期以来关心支持广东旅游业、经贸事业以及各项建设事业发展的朋友们表示深深的谢意。
来宾们、朋友们：
广东是中国改革开放的先行区和试验田。27年来，广东国民经济以年均13.4%的速度稳健发展。2004年，全省GDP突破了16000亿元人民币，折合美元2000亿美元。能够取得这样的成绩，离不开在座的朋友们，包括我们旅游界的朋友、经贸界的朋友对广东长期的关心和支持。我们非常高兴地看到这两年在世界各国朋友的关心支持底下，广东对外经济贸易蓬勃发展。去年广东进出口贸易突破了3570亿美元，占全国的三分之一。累计实际吸收外商实际直接投资突破了1500亿美元，占中国大陆实际吸收外商直接投资的四分之一。广东的旅游业也得到了蓬勃的发展，去年广东旅游收入达到208亿美元，占全国的四分之一；旅游外汇收入53亿美元，占全国的五分之一。全省口岸入出境游客达到8740多万人次，占全国的五分之四。
女士们、先生们、朋友们：
当今的世界是开放的世界，是充满机遇与挑战的世界。面对经济全球化的大趋势，各国、各地区，尤其是企业家们都在思考一个问题，如何在经济全球化和区域经济一体化的进程当中谋求更大利益，争取更快的发展。我以为中国加入WTO，全面建设小康社会，广东现代化进程的加快，CEPA的全面实施，大珠江三角洲、泛珠江三角洲区域合作的全面启动，以及中国与东盟自由贸易区加速形成，这些都给中外客商带来前所未有的商机。广东高度重视发展与世界各国、各地区旅游界、商贸界、金融界朋友们的交流与合作。我们热诚地欢迎世界各国各地区工商企业界、旅游界的朋友到广东来参观考察、观光旅游、经商贸易、投资兴业。广东省人民政府将一如既往地为所有外来投资者提供更加良好的投资营商环境。让我们携手合作，共创美好明天。

Good afternoon!
It is my great pleasure to attend today’s Tourism Promotion Conference. Taking this opportunity, I would like, on behalf of the Guangdong Provincial People’s Government, to extend my warmest welcome to all the guests and friends here. I would also like to express my sincere gratitude to friends who have always shown their interest in and support for the development of Guangdong tourism, economy and trade, as well as other social undertakings.
Distinguished guests, ladies and gentlemen!
Guangdong is the forerunner and experimental zone of the reform and opening up policy of China. During the past 27 years, Guangdong’s GDP has increased steadily and soundly at an average annual rate of 13.4%. In the year 2004, our GDP reached 1.6 trillion yuan RMB, equivalent to 200 billion US dollars. We couldn’t have done such a good job without the long-term support of our friends present here, and fiends from the tourism circle as well as economic and trade circles. We are so pleased to see that in the past couple of years, with the solicitude and support of the friends from the rest of the world, the foreign trade and economy of Guangdong have been developing substantially. Last year, total export and import volume of Guangdong exceeded 357 billion US dollars, accounting for one third of the national total. The accumulative actual foreign direct investment reached 150 billion US dollars, accounting for one fourth of that of China’s mainland. Guangdong’s tourism has also achieved significant growth. Last year, revenues from tourism amounted to 20.8 billion US dollars, accounting for one fourth of the national total, while 5.3 billion US dollars were foreign exchange revenues, which accounted for one fifth of the national total. Inbound and outbound tourists through all ports in Guangdong reached 87.4 million, accounting for four fifths of the national total.
Ladies and gentlemen, friends!
Today’s world is an open world, a world full of both opportunities and challenges. Facing the trend of the economic globalization, people in all the countries and regions, especially the entrepreneurs are considering the question of how to maximize the benefits and gain faster development in the process of economic globalization and regional economic integration. In my opinion, with China’s accession into the WTO, the development of a comprehensively well-off society, the acceleration of Guangdong’s modernization drive, the full implementation of CEPA, the full implementation of the regional corporation in the Greater Pearl River Delta and Pan Pearl River Delta, as well as the speeding up of the formation of the China-ASEAN Free Trade Area, business people from home and abroad are faced with unprecedented business opportunities. Guangdong attaches great importance to the development of the exchanges and corporation with friends from the tourism, business, trade and financial communities all across the world. We sincerely welcome friends from the industrial and commercial circles as well as the tourism circles in all countries and regions to Guangdong for business visits, sightseeing, business and trade, investment and career development. The Guangdong Provincial People’s Government will, as always provide the international investors with a better environment for investment and business operation. Let’s join hands to create a better future!
